Institute of International Exchange will build a basic database of SDGs execution cases

In 2015, the United Nations launched the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which aims to end poverty and put the world on a path of peace, prosperity and opportunity for everyone on a healthy planet.

As an international non-governmental organization in the field of international exchanges, Institute of International Exchange actively participates in the SDGs in Action project. As a key component of our SDGs in Action, SDGs Case database attempts to build a basic database of SDGs execution cases with massive, objective and neutral information, which is going to be a grand engineering project in the field of social sciences. we plan to coordinate and guide thousands of people to participate in the construction of this database in the next 24-36 months. They might belong to the staff, interns, or volunteers within us, as well as belong to our members, partners or other international exchange and cooperation programs. We will comprehensively collect, sort out and summarize the plans, measures, implementation feedback, phased or outcome data adopted by the 193 member states of the United Nations framework to promote the implementation of SDGs officially or privately. All information will be presented in the form of independent reports. And finally, the SDGs Case database will be established with continuously updating and improving.

After completing the preliminary database construction and the sample size reaches the required value, we will invite experts and scholars in the relevant fields of SDGs to establish a joint research group to analyze and process the data, and form guiding consultation and recommendation reports. We will base on its own international orientation of the exchange, providing these guiding suggestions to relevant UN departments, relevant national official departments, private units, or social groups, in anticipation of promoting the implementation of SDGs by facilitating wider international exchanges and cooperation, which is also the original intention of initiating our SDGs in Action project.

We believe that this work will play a positive role in promoting the realization of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
